The search for imperial gold resumes as Ibrahim Bender and his apprentice Ostap pursue a priceless scepter, hoping to secure a comfortable life in Rio de Janeiro. The scepter has fallen into the hands of Nestor Makhno, an anarchist leader who believes it's part of a larger cache of imperial relics. Multiple factions – mafia, partisans, and both Red and White army officers – are vying for the gold, forcing Ostap and Ibrahim to use all their cunning to outwit their rivals. Meanwhile, Ostap must also contend with a romantic crisis, striving to regain the trust of a beloved woman who considers marrying someone else.
