Covering the final decade of Manuel Belgrano’s life, the film portrays the Argentine patriot who designed the national flag and fought for independence. Set against the turmoil of 1810, Belgrano envisions replacing the captive King Ferdinand VII’s authority with a republic led by virtuous citizens who embody the Homeland and represent the people’s will.
