A provocative and ongoing exploration of Philippine history and identity, this film revisits the story of Enrique of Malacca, a Malay servant who circumnavigated the Earth with Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan. Kidlat Tahimik, who first portrayed Enrique in 1979, returns in later years to portray an older version of the character, interweaving archival footage with a fictional narrative and documentary elements.
