Cody Zamora, Anita Crown, Eileen Spenser and Lily Laronette work together in a brothel, sharing danger and a stubborn hope for a better life in a harsh frontier world. When Anita is abused by a customer, Cody kills the man after he opens fire on her, a desperate act that haunts them and sets off a violent chase. Narrowly escaping from a lynch mob, the four women are pursued by Pinkerton detectives hired by the widow of Colonel Clayborne, a man whose death opens a precarious door to their future. During the escape, Eileen is arrested, forcing Cody to pivot quickly and pursue both the money and Kid Jarrett, while telling Anita and Lily to hide. Instead, they return to town to break Eileen out of jail, a risky decision that pulls them deeper into a world of violence and shifting loyalties. Cody’s uneasy meeting with Kid Jarrett and his father, Frank Jarrett, proves tense and dangerous; Kid Jarrett has not forgiven her for leaving him, and he floggs her, a brutal reminder of the price of past choices. In a tense turn, they also abduct Frank Jarrett, drawing a circle of danger tighter around them. Regrouping on the ranch, Anita steps away from the fray, realizing the land claim can only be legitimately claimed by a husband, and that her status as a woman denies her the Oregon land on her own. The conflict peaks when Frank Jarrett antagonizes his captors, and McCoy shoots him in a brutal, cathartic moment. Frustrated and angry, Cody pushes McCoy away, deciding to forge ahead on her own terms.

Meanwhile, Lily endures a horrific assault at the hands of her captors, a dark thread that threads through the pursuit. When McCoy stages a one-man rescue, he is captured, but Lily escapes, a break in the chain of danger that keeps pressing forward. Reunited, Cody, Anita and Eileen race to rescue Lily, meeting her on the road with urgency and resolve. Lily reveals that McCoy has been captured, and they press on toward Kid Jarrett’s hideout, offering to trade the stolen loot to secure McCoy’s return, who has been flogged and tortured in the process. Kid Jarrett agrees to the exchange, but only to shoot McCoy the moment the loot is handed over, returning Cody’s own money to her as a cruel reminder of the price of vengeance. In the ensuing retreat, Lily’s tormentor taunts her, triggering a deadly shootout that wipes out Kid Jarrett’s gang.

In the wake of the carnage, Eileen marries the rancher, and Lily, Cody and Anita push west to begin anew, their talk of the Klondike Gold Rush of 1896 a hopeful beacon for what comes next. On the trail, they ride past the Pinkerton detectives who never quite see them coming, the shadow of pursuit lingering as they press toward an uncertain future, united by friendship and the stubborn will to survive.
