What Is Back to the Planet of the Apes About?

The premise of Back to the Planet of the Apes without spoilers.

After a time‑travel mishap, astronauts Pete Burke and Allan Virdon crash on a distant future Earth ruled by apes. Captured, they befriend a chimp named Galen who helps them escape. To return home, they enter an earthquake‑prone city seeking a computer that can access their flight records and reopen the portal to their time.
