Baby Snatcher 1992

Karen Williams, Nancy McKeon, must return to work at the end of her maternity leave, while her mother Ruth Benson, Penny Fuller, looks after the baby and starts interviewing potential babysitters. Ruth’s search leads her to candidates, including Rachael Ann White, the daughter of a married man, David Anderson, David Duchovny, who once worked for Karen. The situation grows tense as Karen tries to balance her career with motherhood, and the idea of finding a trustworthy caregiver becomes more than just a routine task.

Bianca Hudson, Veronica Hamel, and Cal Hudson, Michael Madsen, are navigating serious strain in their marriage. Cal informs his wife that he has filed for divorce, a shock that coincides with Bianca’s revelation that she is pregnant. Medical reasons later complicate the pregnancy, forcing an abortion, and Bianca doubles down on the deception by faking the pregnancy altogether. Driven by a desperate impulse, she sets out to obtain a baby by any means necessary, stepping into a world of risk and concealment that interrupts the peaceful facade of the Hudson household.

Disguised as a babysitter candidate, Bianca attends the interview for Karen’s children. While Ruth moves to another room, Bianca seizes the opportunity and walks out with the baby, initiating a chain of events that will put the entire family under scrutiny. Bianca then returns home and deceives Cal, claiming she went into labor, visited a hospital, and delivered the baby in a single day, all part of a carefully constructed and dangerous lie.

Karen, determined to recover her child, decides to turn to the media and spread the word with flyers, hoping to reach anyone who might have seen the baby or know where she might be. The situation escalates as the truth begins to surface, and the surrounding adults—among them Cal’s boss and his wife—face the unsettling realization that the infant in question is not theirs. The authorities are alerted, and the tension peaks when Bianca and Cal are arrested, leading to the baby’s return to its rightful home.
