Three Hollywood wives — Lissa Roman Farrah Fawcett, Taylor Singer Melissa Gilbert, and Kyndra Rossiter Robin Givens — navigate the glamorous world of cinema and the fragile ties of friendship and family. Lissa is a highly successful actress and musician who is busy promoting her latest blockbuster. She is fed up with her younger husband Gregg Lynch [Jeff Kaake], who seems to care only about her money and the luxurious lifestyle that comes with it. Her two best friends are Taylor Singer and Kyndra Rossiter, while Taylor is married to the renowned director Larry Singer and Kyndra is a celebrated soul singer described as a selfish diva. This dynamic strains Kyndra’s relationship with her daughter Saffron [Kandyse McClure], who has dreams of fashion design and is Nikki Roman’s best friend.

While Lissa’s life is tangled with drama, she is assigned to private investigator Michael Scorsinni [Jack Scalia] after discovering her husband’s infidelity. When she returns home and refuses to talk, he becomes angry, beating her and raping her. After throwing him out the next morning, she attends a dinner party hosted by Nikki Roman [Pascale Hutton], who will marry Evan Richter [James Thomas] in a month. She is glad to see him, but she also harbors a secret crush on his brother Brian Richter [Eric Johnson], and she later kisses him at a nightclub, only to regret it. Meanwhile, Lissa is approached by a man at the party and is escorted home by Michael. Gregg spots them walking together and suspects trouble. Later that night, Gregg accuses Lissa of spreading rumors about her on national television.

The next day, Taylor is offered the lead in a movie about a lesbian love story. Her husband Larry Singer [Stewart Bick] disapproves of the script and is uneasy with his wife’s fixation on Hollywood glamour. He wants to preserve a semblance of normal life and even tries to help her produce the film, hoping to shield her from the industry. He worries when he learns the writer is Oliver Rock, and even more when he suspects an affair between Taylor and him. Meanwhile, Nikki is kidnapped. Saffron and Brian worry, but Evan is distracted by his own affairs.

After the premiere of Lissa’s latest movie, she spends the night with Michael. They are interrupted by the news of Nikki’s abduction. The kidnapper, a poor man angered by Lissa’s salary of $15,000,000 for one movie, demands $5,000,000. Lissa pays the ransom, but Nikki remains missing. Michael eventually catches the kidnapper and locates Nikki. In the end, Lissa promises Nikki she will spend more time with her. Nikki ends her engagement with Evan to marry Brian. Larry discovers Taylor’s affair with Oliver and files for divorce, and Taylor ultimately decides to take the lesbian-led project after all. Kyndra shows Saffron how much she cares about her.
