Arctic Heart 2016

Quignard leads a team of researchers studying “PPM,” an immunizing protein produced by penguins, for a Nobel Prize–level project. The work seeks to understand if the penguin genome could bolster the immune system and potentially transform medical science, pushing the boundaries of what science can achieve.

Among the scientists is a shy, young PhD student named Christophine, who is secretly in love with the professor. She makes a bold, perilous choice: she injects herself with the penguin genome, hoping to accelerate the research and to draw closer to him.
