Made between 1964 and 1966 at Warhol’s Factory in New York, the short reels capture subjects illuminated by a strong key light. Warhol shot them with a stationary 16 mm Bolex, keeping the camera fixed, on silent black‑and‑white 100‑foot rolls at 24 fps. Each two‑and‑a‑half‑minute film was later projected in slow motion at 16 fps.
