Isabelle Palmer is a 9-year-old dancer and aspiring fashion designer from Washington, D.C., who studies at Anna Heart Performing Arts School alongside her loving sister, Jade Palmer, and their best friend Luisa. While she adores her sister, she often finds herself measured against a rival classmate, Renata, who looms large in the studio and in her mind. The story centers on a big opportunity: the Nutcracker at Capital One Hall is casting Anna Heart students, with the star role to be played by Jackie Sanchez, the sisters’ favorite dancer.
