Amy Winehouse: At the BBC - Arena: The Day She Came to Dingle (2012): Cast

In 2006, Amy Winehouse traveled to the remote Irish town of Dingle to perform for the acclaimed TV music series, Other Voices. Filmed on a stormy December night, the concert took place in Saint James’s church, where she captivated a small but enthusiastic audience with an acoustic set from her album Back to Black. Following the performance, a relaxed Amy discussed her musical inspirations, including artists like Mahalia Jackson, Sarah Vaughan, and Ray Charles. The film also features interviews with those she met that day, like a local taxi driver and her bass player, offering a glimpse into a memorable encounter and the influences that shaped her unique jazz pop style.
