What Is Amor About?
The premise of Amor without spoilers.
Filmed against the backdrops of Rome and Salzburg’s natural theatre, the work treats cutting and sewing as visual metaphors for love, separation and the art of montage. Shots of cloth being trimmed, hands clapping, and tools striking accompany scenes of tailoring, architectural restoration and director Beavers in a freshly tailored suit, intertwining gesture, sound and the editing process.
