Robert James “B.J.” Quinn John Barrett is the current middleweight kickboxing champion of the world, and he is gearing up for a high-stakes test against a rising challenger, Chad Hunter. Chad proves to be a skilled and formidable foe, pushing Quinn with sharp technique, but in the second round an accidental elbow during a spinning back fist causes the doctor to intervene, and Quinn somehow retains his title.
At a party celebrating a new sponsor, the swaggering middleweight Jacques Denard Brad Morris makes a bold pass at Quinn’s girlfriend, Carol Terry Norton. The moment sparks a heated confrontation as Quinn and Denard clash, and Ken Holligan Gavin Hood tries to break up the tension. The encounter takes a tragic turn when Quinn’s forceful punch sends Ken crashing through a table, and Ken dies. Quinn is subsequently sentenced to twelve months on manslaughter charges and barred from competing in professional kickboxing.
A year passes, and Quinn is released from prison to a startling new reality: Denard has claimed the middleweight title in his absence. Quinn begins to rebuild his life and form a new bond with Chad. At another party, a renewed Quinn confronts Denard once again, this time with a victory achieved through a ruthless swing of a chair. The stakes rise as Denard issues a challenge for a $100,000 fight, a battle Quinn cannot ignore if he wants to reclaim his place.
With Chad backing him and the guidance of former trainer Howard Roger Yuan, Quinn ramps up preparations for the climactic showdown. The fight is marked by Denard’s dirty tactics and relentless pressure, and Quinn faces a brutal test as he is knocked down late in the contest. He rises at a nine-count, answering with a flurry of disciplined kicks and a decisive tornado kick that grounds Denard for the ten-count. In the final moments, Chad, Howard, Carol, and others rally around him as Quinn closes out the comeback and earns a hard-fought victory.
