What Is Alberta About?
The premise of Alberta without spoilers.
Freek, a successful 49-year-old advertising executive, seems to have a perfect life with his accomplished wife Iris and their adopted son. However, his reputation as a charming womanizer leads him to become infatuated with a younger woman named Alberta. She convinces him to leave his life in the Netherlands and journey to Alberta, in the Canadian Rockies, with the intention of painting the landscapes together. Their escape quickly loses its appeal, and Alberta departs, leaving Freek facing a crisis as he confronts life without her.
