Abbott and Costello Meet Captain Kidd 1952

On their way to their shifts at the Death’s Head Tavern, Oliver “Puddin’ Head” Johnson and Rocky Stonebridge cross paths with Lady Jane, who asks them to deliver a love note to the tavern singer, Bruce Martingale. What starts as a routine errand quickly draws them into a larger web of danger and ambition, setting the stage for a voyage that intertwines loyalty, deception, and the lure of a hidden fortune.

At the tavern, the notorious Captain Kidd dines with Captain Anne Bonney, a seasoned pirate who commands her own share of the seas. Bonney complains that Kidd has raided ships in her territory and demands her cut of the treasure. Kidd reveals that he has hidden the amassed treasure on Skull Island and that he possesses the only map to its exact location. He agrees to take Bonney along, with her ship following close behind in case of a double-cross. Yet while Oliver waits with growing nerves, he accidentally swaps Lady Jane’s love note with Kidd’s map. Rocky Stonebridge discovers the mistake and negotiates with Kidd to join the voyage and share the treasure in exchange for the map. Kidd outwardly agrees, though his real plan is to kill Oliver and Rocky once he secures the map.

The voyage begins with the addition of Bruce, who has been shanghaied into the crew. Kidd makes repeated and unsuccessful attempts to regain the map throughout the journey. Meanwhile, Bonney becomes intrigued when she misreads Lady Jane’s note, believing it was written for Oliver, which deepens the tension and curiosity aboard the ship. The sense of peril grows as the crew sails toward Skull Island, with trust eroding and motives clashing under the looming shadow of the prize they seek.

Soon, Kidd raids an English ship and abducts Lady Jane, escalating the stakes for all involved. When they reach Skull Island, Oliver “Puddin’ Head” Johnson and Rocky Stonebridge dig up the treasure, while Kidd proclaims his plan to dispose of Oliver, Rocky, and Captain Bonney. Bonney acts decisively, signaling her own crew to counter Kidd’s move. A fierce confrontation ensues, the treasure is recovered, and Kidd is finally restrained, becoming a prisoner of Captain Bonney as the balance of power shifts and the crew claims victory.
