A Gathering of Old Men 1987
On a Louisiana sugarcane plantation, an ordinary day shatters when a white farmer is shot in self‑defense. A group of elderly Black men step forward together to claim responsibility for killing a white racist. As the sheriff confronts them, the young plantation owner stands alone, defiantly defending them and sparking racial tension that drives film.
