Mitsuki Kanzaki (Tenka Hashimoto) is a high school student whose quiet life shifts dramatically after her mother remarries and relocates overseas with her new husband. Left to navigate a tense new family dynamic, Mitsuki ends up sharing a home with her stepbrother, Yuya, a situation that unsettles her sense of stability.

Her mother’s move deepens Mitsuki’s sense of abandonment, and the once distant bond with Yuya Kanzaki (Yūkichi Kobayashi) becomes a focal point as they try to adjust to life under one roof and figure out the boundaries of their new relationship.

One day, a spirit named Hiyori Kotobuki (Mayu Mitsui) arrives and possesses Mitsuki, bringing a restless, otherworldly presence into their daily life. Hiyori is the lost spirit of a girl who truly loved Yuya in life but died before she could confess, leaving her unable to reach heaven.

To reach heaven, Hiyori imposes a troubling pull on Mitsuki that grows stronger the more Mitsuki’s feelings toward Yuya develop, creating dangerous consequences if Mitsuki does not help her move on.
