What Is Tarzan of the Apes About?

The premise of Tarzan of the Apes without spoilers.

Tarzan, raised by a motherly female ape after his parents' death, has never seen a white woman until Jane Porter, part of a rescue party searching for the missing Lord Greystoke, becomes separated and faces jungle dangers. Tarzan rescues her just in time, and a romance begins.
