Arjun, Arjun, is a young man who thrives on the attention he gets from his parents and the neighbors in a tight-knit colony. With no kids his age around, he yearns for a girlfriend, and the arrival of Anu and her family sparks a spark of hope—mixed with insecurity. As his family grows fond of Anu, jealousy sprouts in Arjun, slowly hardening into hostility even though Anu gradually develops genuine feelings for him.

Arjun struggles academically, constantly being compared to Anu, a bright student whose success irritates him and fuels a sense of inadequacy. To escape the daily pressure, he devises a bold plan to relocate to Dubai, where his sister lives, under the pretense of pursuing an MBA. With the help of a friend who runs a consultancy, he secures an excellent GMAT score through cheating. His father throws a celebratory party, and Arjun feels a wave of relief at the idea of moving away from Anu.

The plot twists when he learns his application is on a waitlist due to being one mark shy of two other applicants, and the top university only has two vacant seats. In a cruel turn, one of the two better-scoring applicants turns out to be Anu, which stings deeply. Frustrated and worried about his future, Arjun leaks Anu’s abroad study plans to her mother, who would rather see her marry than study further. Anu responds with a broken heart, but ultimately agrees to marriage to satisfy family expectations, even kissing Arjun publicly on the wedding day.

On the day of the ceremony, family pressure forces a marriage between the two. During their first night, Anu reveals that she overheard a discussion between Arjun and his friends about the plans that sabotaged her studies, exposing his deception. Anu confesses that the marriage was part of a scheme, and that Arjun has little choice but to take her abroad to the university. He manipulates one of the other applicants to withdraw, clearing the path for them.

They relocate to Dubai, where the relationship becomes a complex mix of love and tension. A mild fight after a night out leads to a moment of intimacy, and soon they find themselves navigating a fragile dynamic. Anu then discovers she is pregnant, and Arjun, not fully sure about the life changes ahead, accuses her of trapping him and asks for an abortion. Anu vows to divorce after she finishes her studies and insists that he has no role to play in the pregnancy.

Seeing their parents step in, both Arjun and Anu consider letting their families witness the process and choose to avoid further conflict as long as the parents stay. The pregnancy brings a surprising, tender shift as Arjun begins to feel the baby kick and realizes the depth of Anu’s love—something he has overlooked for far too long. When he goes to tell her bahwa he loves her, he discovers that the divorce papers have already been signed. He apologizes, confessing his true feelings, and the couple reunites. They go on to welcome their daughter and begin a life that is marked by reconciliation, growth, and a hopeful future together.
