In a secluded mansion, David — a man haunted by inner turmoil and sleepwalking — commits a brutal murder-suicide, killing his wife and two children before ending his own life.

Years later, Jim Van Patten, a widower, moves with his two teenage daughters, Randy and Staci, to the mansion on Wilford Lane, hoping for a fresh start.

From the moment they arrive, a creeping unease takes hold: doors creak open by themselves, shadows flicker in the corners, and strange noises echo through the empty halls.

Staci’s behavior grows increasingly strange: she becomes withdrawn, talks to invisible entities, and fills her sketchbook with disturbing drawings.

Randy stays skeptical but protective, trying to shield her sister as the family faces the creeping dread.

Jim begins to experience terrifying nightmares and sleepwalking, and at one point he wakes in the basement, covered in blood with no memory of how he got there.

The local Sheriff is wary and dismissive, offering little help and attributing their fears to grief and stress rather than anything supernatural.

While the adults search for explanations, the girls uncover old newspaper clippings and journals tucked away in the attic, revealing the mansion’s violent past and rumors of a dark curse.

Even more unsettling events follow: Staci is found levitating in her bedroom, voices whisper through the walls, and eerie apparitions appear, especially near the basement where the original murders occurred.

All the while, the house seems to bend Jim’s will, nudging him toward violence and pulling him into a nightmare he cannot control.

Randy fights to protect her sister and father, confronting the malevolent force that inhabits the house and threatens to repeat the past.
