Rob Douglas Brian Hooks has just been released from jail for the second time, and he fears a third conviction could mean a life sentence. With this fear looming, he resolves to go straight and leave the street life behind. His plan is upended when his friend J.J. picks him up, and the police soon intervene, revealing that J.J. was driving a stolen car. When J.J. is wounded by a gunshot to the buttocks and taken into custody, Douglas learns he has been implicated in the shooting.
