Sean Ellis

Sean Ellis, born in 1970, is a notable British film director, writer, producer, and fashion photographer. With a distinguished career originating in 2001, Ellis holds claim to famous films such as Cashback (2004), The Broken (2008), the Tagalog-language film Metro Manila (2013), and Anthropoid (2016). In 2006, his remarkable talent was recognized when he was nominated for an Academy Award in the 'Best Short Film, Live Action' category for his film, Cashback. The feature film was actually produced more than a year after the original 2004 short film was completed, with Ellis completing the expanded script swiftly in seven days. This schedule is known to be exceedingly condensed by modern filmmaking standards. Ellis' next major film, The Broken, premiered in 2008 at the Sundance Film Festival and also graced the Horrorfest in 2009.
