About Joe Hisaishi's World Dream Tour
What the evening plays and who performs it.
Joe Hisaishi’s World Dream Tour brings the living legend who has enchanted generations with the soundtracks of Studio Ghibli and Hayao Miyazaki’s prize‑winning films to a European stage unlike any other. With more than 100 scores and a treasury of awards, Hisaishi has woven film music history while solidifying his place in contemporary music as a composer, conductor and pianist acclaimed for his symphonic works.
In Autumn 2026, the trailblazer returns to Europe, leading the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra on a spectacular journey through selected cities in Germany and Switzerland. As conductor and solo pianist, he will unveil the new suite from the Oscar‑winning Studio Ghibli film The Boy and the Heron, and will present the European premiere of his newly composed Concerto for Orchestra. Each performance promises an intimate, spell‑binding experience that blends cinematic nostalgia with orchestral innovation.
