Savannah Smith Boucher

Savannah Smith Boucher (born October 28, 1943 as Janice Elaine Boucher) is an American actress whose career spanned more than two decades, beginning in the late 1970s and concluding in the early 2000s. Raised in the small town of Springhill, Louisiana, she was born into a prominent family with deep political roots: her father, Jesse L. Boucher, served as mayor, and her relatives held positions in the Louisiana State Legislature and municipal government. After adopting the stage name Savannah Smith, she debuted in Five Days from Home (1978) and quickly became a recognizable supporting player, appearing in notable films such as North Dallas Forty (1979), The Long Riders (1980), and Everybody's All‑American (1988). Her performances were marked by a natural charm and a willingness to portray a wide range of characters, from the tough‑hearted Joanne Rodney to the wistful Darlene Kiely, earning her a steady stream of work in both feature films and television movies throughout the 1980s and 1990s.
