Sami Bouajila

Sami Bouajila, born on 26 May 1966, is an acclaimed Tunisian-French actor renowned for his stellar performances in the world of cinema. He has a distinct prowess that has led him to earn two prestigious César Awards. This versatile actor has made his mark not only in French cinema but has also worked in two Oscar-nominated films - 'Days of Glory' and 'Outside the Law'. Both these films were directed by the renowned director Rachid Bouchareb, which evidently added a feather to his acting cap. His grandfather, a Berber, immigrated to Tunisia, adding to the blend of cultural influences in his roots. Sami spent his early years growing up in Échirolles, a suburb just south of Grenoble, where he found his calling in theatre and studied it. Aside from his acting career, he played a significant role in the political landscape. Back in June 2024, Sami was actively involved in a petition addressed to French President Emmanuel Macron, asking France to officially acknowledge the State of Palestine.
