Nick Thune

Nicholas Ivan Thune, an American actor, comedian, and musician, was born in Seattle, Washington, and grew up in Redmond. He moved to Los Angeles to chase his dreams in stand-up comedy. Thune's early stand-up shows revolved around clever wordplay accompanied by guitar strums. Despite his use of a guitar, Thune asserts it was more as a theatrical prop than an attempt at musical comedy. He has had the honor of performing on The Tonight Show eight times and was even featured in a Comedy Central Presents special in 2007.

In 2009, he performed at the DTD Reality concert at the University of Southern California. His debut album, Thick Noon, was released in 2010 by Comedy Central Records. Thune's first hour-long special, Nick Thune: Folk Hero, was launched on Netflix in 2014. His second special, Good Guy, premiered on NBC's Seeso platform in 2016, providing a new style of comedy as he completely dropped his use of the guitar. In 2010, Thune was cast as a lead in an NBC pilot opposite Matthew Broderick, but the pilot was not picked up as a series. He has since made guest appearances on several comedy shows and starred in a few roles in the movies Knocked Up, Unaccompanied Minors, and Dave Made a Maze.
