Michael O'Keefe

Michael O'Keefe, born as Raymond Peter O'Keefe Jr. on April 24, 1955, is a celebrated American actor famously recognized for riveting portrayals in multiple high-profile roles. O'Keefe, the eldest of seven children in an Irish American family, hails from Mount Vernon, New York, and was educated at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, New York University and earned an MFA in creative writing from Bennington College. O'Keefe's step into stardom was cemented with his part as Danny Noonan in the iconic comedy film Caddyshack. His portrayal of Ben Meechum in The Great Santini fetched him a nomination for the esteemed Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. Other memorable roles include his performance as Darryl Palmer in the Neil Simon movie The Slugger's Wife and the character Fred on the television sitcom Roseanne between 1993 to 1995.

O'Keefe's career trajectory spans a variety of films and television series, engaging in diverse roles that display his skills as a versatile actor.
