Macarena Gómez

Macarena Gómez Traseira, born on 2 February 1978 in Córdoba, Spain, is a prolific Spanish actress whose career spans over three decades. From a young age she was immersed in the performing arts, joining Maruja Caracuel's Ballet School and later completing her secondary education in the United States before honing her craft at the prestigious Rose Bruford College of Speech and Drama in London for three years. After moving to Madrid, she broke into television with minor roles in series such as Raquel busca su sitio and El comisario in the late 1990s, but it was her striking debut in the 2001 cosmic‑horror film Dagon, where she portrayed the ethereal priestess Uxía Cambarro, that thrust her into the spotlight of genre cinema.
