Lindsay Crouse

Lindsay Ann Crouse, born on May 12, 1948, is an esteemed American actress with a career spanning over several decades. She first introduced herself to Broadway in the 1972 revival of Much Ado About Nothing and took her first steps into the film industry in 1976 with All the President's Men. She received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress from her role in the 1984 film Places in the Heart. Her repertoire includes diverse films like Slap Shot (1977), Between the Lines (1977), The Verdict (1982), Prefontaine (1997), and The Insider (1999). More notably, she had a leading role in the 1987 film House of Games, directed by her then-husband David Mamet.
