Joseph Quinn

Joseph Quinn (born 26 January 1994) is an English actor whose career has rapidly evolved from stage to screen, earning him a reputation for intense, charismatic performances. Raised in South London, Quinn was immersed in the performing arts from an early age; his father, Anthony, heads screen and audio performance at LAMDA, granting the young Joseph dual British and Irish citizenship. He attended the private Emanuel school before honing his craft at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, graduating in 2015, and made his television debut as Arthur Havisham in the BBC One period drama Dickensian. Over the next few years he built a versatile résumé, appearing as Leonard Bast in Howards End (2017), Enjolras in the BBC adaptation of Les Misérables (2018), and delivering award‑winning stage work that earned him Best Actor in a Studio Production at the 2017 Manchester Theatre Awards. His breakthrough arrived with the role of Eddie Munson in the fourth season of Stranger Things (2022), a performance that garnered a Saturn Award nomination and the MTV Movie & TV Award for Best Breakthrough Performance in 2023, cementing his status as a rising star. Following the global success of Stranger Things, Quinn transitioned to high‑profile feature films, co‑starring with Lupita Nyong’o in the science‑fiction horror A Quiet Place: Day One (June 2024) and portraying Geta in Ridley Scott’s historical epic Gladiator II (November 2024).
