Himesh Patel

Himesh Jitendra Patel, born 13th of October, 1990, is a notable British actor. He embarked on his acting journey by playing Tamwar Masood in the BBC soap opera EastEnders from 2007 to 2016, gaining significant popularity. His career took a distinct turn as he later appeared in the Channel 4 sitcom Damned (2016-2018), and succeeded with his roles in renowned films such as Yesterday (2019) and Tenet (2020).

In 2021, Patel's creativity led him to star in the HBO miniseries Station Eleven. This role fetched him a nomination for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie. He also made his appearance prominent in Adam McKay's Netflix film Don't Look Up. In his early life, Patel evinced a great interest in acting. Born in Sawtry, Cambridgeshire to Indian Gujarati Hindus parents, he began impersonating his favourite characters on television and film even as a child, and eventually joined a local theatre group, leading him to the splendid acting career that he possesses today.
