Her roles have spanned the range from the feminist mother in 'The World According to Garp' to a cunning aristocrat in 'Dangerous Liaisons', from an English butler in 'Albert Nobbs' to an eccentric grandmother in 'Hillbilly Elegy'. Transitioning to television, her performances in 'Something About Amelia' and 'Damages' garnered her further critical acclaim and award nods.
