Elliot Page, formerly known as Ellen Page, is a Canadian actor and producer born on February 21, 1987. His accolades include multiple nominations for prestigious awards such as the Academy Award, three British Academy Film Awards, a Golden Globe Award, two Primetime Emmy Awards, and the Screen Actors Guild Award. His career first took off with his role in the television franchise Pit Pony (1997-2000), followed by roles in Trailer Park Boys (2002) and ReGenesis (2004). His breakthrough came with leading roles in the films Hard Candy (2005) and X-Men: The Last Stand (2006). Further recognition stemmed from his performance in the film Juno (2007), for which he received critical acclaim. In addition to his on-screen appearances, Page is known for his outspoken activism, including advocacy for the Me Too movement, abortion rights, trans rights, and veganism. He was included in The Advocate's annual '40 Under 40' list in 2014. Page publicly came out as a trans man in 2020 and made headlines again in 2021, becoming the first openly trans man to appear on the cover of Time. He is also a producer, director, and active voice in the video gaming industry, working notably on the Viceland documentary series Gaycation (2016-2017) and the video game Beyond: Two Souls (2013).
