Elisabetta Rocchetti, born on 25 January 1975 in Rome, is an Italian actress and film director whose career has spanned more than two decades. The daughter of lawyer Nicola Rocchetti, she entered the cinematic world with her debut performance in Traveling Companion (1996) under the direction of Peter Del Monte, quickly establishing herself as a versatile talent. Her breakthrough came with Matteo Garrone’s The Embalmer (2002), a role that earned her the prestigious Golden Globe Award for Best Debut Actress in 2003, highlighting her capacity for intense, character‑driven storytelling.
