Ed Amatrudo

Edward Amatrudo, born on February 9, 1956, is an American actor whose career spans more than four decades, weaving together stage, television, and film work with an unexpected interlude in real estate. After graduating from the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Amatrudo broke into the professional world in the early 1980s, appearing in a variety of theatre productions that honed his craft and earned him a reputation as a reliable character actor. By the late 1980s and throughout the 1990s, he transitioned to the screen, securing guest‑starring roles on popular network series such as NYPD Blue, Chicago Hope, Profiler and Walker, Texas Ranger, while also building a modest film résumé with titles like Chains of Gold (1991), Traces of Red (1992), Wrestling Ernest Hemingway (1993), Drop Zone (1994), Bad Boys (1995), Up Close & Personal (1996) and Bully (2001). During the 2000s, Amatrudo stepped back from acting and found success as a real‑estate broker in Nashville, a move that kept him connected to the entertainment community but away from the camera. The pull of performance proved too strong, and he returned to acting in the 2010s, making memorable appearances on Drop Dead Diva and Army Wives before landing his most recognizable role as Glenn Goodman, the manager of country star Juliette Barnes, in the critically acclaimed ABC series Nashville (2012‑2018). In 2013 he portrayed music industry legend Clive Davis in the biographical television film CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story, and his versatility was again on display with a cameo in the fourth season of Stranger Things in 2022.
