Connor Swindells is an English actor and model who has quickly become one of the most recognizable faces of contemporary British television and film. Born on 19 September 1996 in Lewes, East Sussex, he grew up as the youngest of four sons in a family marked by both cultural richness and early tragedy, with his mother of Romani descent passing away from bowel cancer when he was only seven years old. After his mother's death, he lived with his paternal grandparents in West Chiltington before moving to Billingshurst, experiences that he says deepened his empathy and informed his later performances. He attended Rydon Community College and Steyning Grammar School, but left formal education at seventeen to pursue acting, a decision sparked by a dare to audition for a local play that landed him the lead role.
