Cleopatra Coleman

Cleopatra Coleman (born 29 October 1987), known for her roles in The Last Man on Earth and In the Shadow of the Moon, is an Australian actress who began her career in film and television in Australia at age 15. Born in Wentworth Falls, New South Wales, Australia, she grew up in Byron Bay, Australia and is the child of a Scottish father and Jamaican mother. Her breakout motion picture role was as DJ Penelope in Step Up Revolution, a contemporary dance film released in 2012. Coleman's range expands far beyond acting - in 2011 she co-wrote, executive produced, and starred in a short film called Trains alongside her father, Mick Coleman, which was the first project for their production company, Coleman/Coleman productions.

Outside of her work in film, Coleman has made several music video appearances, including videos for Nervo, Far East Movement, and Galantis. In 2014, Coleman was cast as Erica Dundee in the Fox ensemble comedy series The Last Man on Earth, where she entertained audiences for four seasons. She also wrote, produced, and starred in the environmental sci-fi thriller Hover for Syfy Films. In 2019, she appeared as Rya in In the Shadow of the Moon on Netflix. She expanded her range in 2020 by featuring in a quirky independent comedy The Argument, and later in 2023, she explored fantasy roles in the Netflix original sci-fi epic Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire, featuring again in its sequel released in 2024.
