Claes Brian Christopher Wollter, known professionally as Christopher Wollter, is a Swedish actor and singer born on 5 February 1972 in Brunna, Sweden. He grew up in Lund, attending Lerbäckskolan and Spyken, and as a teenager he gained early media experience as a reporter for the SVT children's show Barnjournalen. After completing studies at Kulturama in Stockholm, he earned a degree from the Högskolan för scen och musik at the University of Gothenburg in 1997, launching a versatile stage career. His debut role was Marius Pontmercy in the musical Les Misérables, followed by notable performances as Chris in Miss Saigon at Malmö Opera, Riff in West Side Story, Freddie in Chess, and the titular part in Doctor Zhivago. Wollter has also graced the stage in productions of My Fair Lady at the Oscarsteatern, Evita, and The Sound of Music as Georg von Trapp at Nöjesteatern Malmö between 2017 and 2018. Transitioning to screen, he made his film debut with Suxxess (2002) and appeared in the acclaimed drama The Reunion (2013), which earned the Guldbagge Award for Best Film. His television credits include leading roles in Häxdansen (2008), Modus (2015), Greyzone (2018), and the internationally streamed series Quicksand (2019). Beyond acting, Wollter has produced concerts such as Brel möter Piaf (2018), performed solo with the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra at SVT’s Trettondagskonsert, and delivered his self‑written monologue Göran och Kärleke. He also participated as a celebrity dancer on Let’s Dance 2025 on TV4. In his personal life, Christopher is married to actress Julia Dufvenius, and together they have a daughter and a son; his great‑uncle was the renowned actor Sven Wollter.
