What's After the Movie
Chris Pontius, best known as a cast member of the reality comedy show Jackass and co-host of its spinoff Wildboyz with fellow cast member Steve-O, was born on July 16, 1974, in Pasadena, California and raised in San Luis Obispo. Pontius started his journey towards stardom when he met his future Jackass collaborators during an interview for a skateboarding magazine, Big Brother. He went on to showcase his writing talents for Big Brother before finally gracing the screens in the first episode of Jackass in 2000. His primary role in Jackass consisted of stunts involving nudity and his penis, most notably getting it bitten by a snake and tying a thread around it to fly an RC helicopter. Pontius' performance often blurs the line between bravery and insanity, as he never hesitates to push the envelope when it comes to his comedic stunts. Apart from his outrageous stunts, Pontius is also known for his ability to morph into various characters for pranks, such as dressing up as the devil to campaign against religion on the streets of California. Pontius' personal life is significantly less eventful as compared to his professional career; he married Claire Nolan in 2004, who filed for divorce in 2011 and finalized in 2013. Pontius is currently married to Mae Quijada, and they have a son who was born in 2019.
