Raised in Oakville, Ontario, he discovered a love for performance early, enrolling in acting courses in 2011 while also excelling in baseball for the Oakville A's youth league. His athletic discipline translated into a strong work ethic, and by 2016 he was pursuing professional opportunities, culminating in a provincial finalist award in Senior Music Theatre at the Ontario Music Festivals Association in 2017. MacCormac made his television debut on April 10, 2017, in the CBC series Bellevue where his episode “You Don’t Understand Me at All” showcased his nuanced ability to convey teenage angst. Shortly after, he appeared in the short film Cold Hands as Lucas, a teen grappling with the aftermath of sexual assault, a role that demonstrated his willingness to tackle difficult subject matter. The following year he broke into feature films with the independent drama Giant Little Ones, portraying Michael, a bullied teenager whose journey resonated with critics and audiences alike. MacCormac’s versatility was further evident in the Lifetime movie Zombie at 17 and eight episodes of the children’s series Big Top Academy, establishing him as a flexible performer across genres. In 2019 he entered the superhero arena as Brett Bryer in Shazam!, a part he reprised in Shazam! Fury of the Gods (2023), solidifying his presence in big‑budget productions. Subsequent credits include the dystopian sci‑fi film Riot Girls (2019), the Netflix horror series October Faction (2020), and a recurring role as Benjamin Locke in Locke & Key (2021). Most recently he headlined the 2025 horror thriller Clown in a Cornfield, confirming his continued ascent in the industry.
