What's After the Movie
Brant David Daugherty (born August 20, 1985) is an American actor best known for his recurring role as Noel Kahn on the popular teen drama series Pretty Little Liars. Raised in Mason, Ohio, he is the son of David Daugherty, an art teacher, and Mary Beth Hirt Daugherty, a rehabilitation services director. Brant grew up with a brother, Adam, and a sister, Caitey, and experienced a formative childhood that blended creative encouragement with athletic pursuits; he played football at William Mason High School before discovering a passion for theater in his sophomore year. After graduating in 2004, he earned a film degree from Columbia College Chicago and relocated to Los Angeles in 2008 to pursue acting professionally, marking the start of a career that has spanned more than a decade. Early television work included a recurring role as Brian on the soap opera Days of Our Lives in 2013, and that same year he joined the cast of Lifetime’s Army Wives as Patrick Clarke for its seventh season. His film credits feature a comedic turn in The Starving Games (2013) and a supporting part in the FX series Anger Management (2014). Daugherty also showcased his dancing abilities as a contestant on season 17 of Dancing with the Stars, finishing seventh alongside partner Peta Murgatroyd. In 2018 he appeared as Luke Sawyer in the romantic drama Fifty Shades Freed. Off‑screen, he began dating actress Kimberly Hidalgo in 2016, became engaged in 2018, and married on June 15, 2019. The couple welcomed two sons, Wilder in March 2021 and Aero in December 2023. Daugherty continues to reside in West Hollywood, balancing his growing family with ongoing acting projects.
