Asher Angel, born Asher Dov Angel on September 6, 2002 in Phoenix, Arizona, is an American actor and emerging singer who captured the attention of audiences from a very young age. Raised in the nearby community of Paradise Valley, he is the eldest of three children to parents Jody and Coco Angel, and his Jewish heritage has been a notable aspect of his personal background. Angel’s introduction to performance began when he was just five years old, appearing in the 2008 drama Jolene alongside Jessica Chastain, which marked the start of a prolific career in both film and theater. He quickly became a staple at the Desert Stages Theatre in Scottsdale, starring in productions such as Oliver!, The Little Mermaid, Seussical, Mary Poppins, and Into the Woods, demonstrating an early versatility that would serve him well in later roles.
