In 2054, Zenon Kar, now 18, eagerly signs up for the Galactic Teen Supreme. She wants to prove herself on a galaxy-wide stage despite the long list of past successes. The first stage will require earning a hot-pod license for the Earth-to-Moon race.

Driving test chaos and a mysterious boost

Zenon struggles through the driving test, nearly failing as near-misses push her to the limit. A mysterious force suddenly takes control of her pod, guiding her through the test and enabling a safe landing back on Earth. The result is that she finally earns her hot-pod license.

Dasha infiltrates Zenon's pod

Dasha, Zenon’s foster sister who idolizes her, schemes to become Zenon’s clone. She sneaks into Zenon’s hot pod right before the race to ride along in Zenon’s public success. Her plan sets up tension for the competition ahead.

Moonstock qualification and Bronley Hale

Zenon reaches the Moon and qualifies for the second heat of the Moonstock contest. There she meets Bronley Hale, a handsome rival with potential to be a friend or foe. The atmosphere is competitive but energized by lunar stardom.

Sage Borealis seeks Zenon's aid

Sage Borealis, a lone environmentalist, seeks Zenon’s help to stop the Moonstock Festival and the broader lunar colonization plan. Zenon is torn between the thrill of competition and Sage’s plea to protect Earth. The request plants uncertainty about whether to stay in the race.

Selene the moon guardian appears

The Moon guardian Selene suddenly appears and threatens to destroy Earth. Her arrival triggers extreme weather, unleashing heavy rain and snow on the Moonbase. The crisis forces all racers and townsfolk to confront a greater threat.

Rally to defend Earth

Zenon, Sage, Dasha, and their friends — Margie, Cassie, and Bronley — join forces with other racers to defend Earth. They work to outmaneuver Selene and evacuate people and key assets. The alliance emphasizes teamwork over individual glory.

Evacuation of all on Moon

The group evacuates everyone, including passengers aboard Proto Zoa’s tour bus, ensuring no one is left behind. They coordinate a rapid, coordinated exit from the Moonbase through hazardous weather. The evacuation is chaotic but ultimately life-saving.

The Moon Dome cannot be lifted

When they try to remove the Moon Dome, each racer takes a hover pod, but the dome is too heavy to lift. The challenge tests their resolve and teamwork. It becomes clear external help is needed.

Reunion and a new plan

Dasha is reunited with Commander Plank and Aunt Judy, who had difficulty communicating with her and Zenon. The trio joins the effort to move the dome, pooling resources and experience. This reunion strengthens the plan to save Earth.

With a synchronized effort, they lift the dome and set it adrift into space, severing the direct link between the Moon and the Moonbase. The action removes the immediate threat to Earth. The team breathes a collective sigh of relief as calm returns to space.

Selene's final assault and departure

Selene destroys the rest of the base before bidding farewell as the friends return to Earth. The inclement weather dissipates, signaling the end of the disaster. The team begins the long process of returning home and rebuilding.

Romance and a concert new era

Sage and Zenon become intimate, marking a personal bond formed under pressure. Proto Zoa's band Micro performs again, joined by a new group, Cosmic Blush, signaling a fresh musical era. The Moon’s crisis gives way to celebration and music.

Mars invitation and Zenon's refusal

Pat Numbar invites Zenon to compete in a Mars-based contest to achieve proper victory, but Zenon declines. She explains Mars's war-related history and her preference to avoid stepping into a warlike conflict. She chooses a different path for her future.
