In New Delhi, Major Kabir Dhaliwal is assigned to assassinate an Iraqi terrorist named Farid Haqqani, but the mission takes a brutal turn when he instead kills veteran RAW agent V. K. Naidu and proclaims himself rogue. In the wake of this escalation, Defence Minister Sherna Patel and Colonel Sunil Luthra mobilize Kabir’s former student, Captain Khalid Rahmani, to track down and eliminate the threat he now represents. The film then unfolds through a tense and layered narrative that shifts between flashbacks and present danger, weaving together loyalty, betrayal, and the pressures of command.

A troubled past shapes the present as Khalid yearns to join Kabir’s elite squad, yet faces an initial rejection because of his father Major Abdul Rahmani’s past betrayal during a prior mission. That betrayal left Kabir with two gunshot wounds and his partner dead, casting a long shadow over Khalid’s ambitions. After persuasive intervention from Luthra, Kabir agrees to reconsider Khalid, albeit with visible caution. The squad eventually comes to include Saurabh, Prateek, Muthu, and Aditi, and the team sets out on a high-stakes operation in Tikrit, Iraq, aimed at dismantling Haqqani’s network and arresting Basheer Hassib. Their efforts produce a win in the field as Basheer is captured and Rizwan Ilyasi, a terrorist who has reinvented himself as a businessman, is forced out of hiding.

Beneath the surface, trust is tested as Kabir notices that Khalid’s right-side targets are often missed and his peripheral vision is imperfect. This becomes a critical moment of tension: Kabir threatens Khalid with removal, while Khalid reveals that his partial eyesight stems from childhood bullying related to his father’s betrayal. Yet, recognizing Khalid’s devotion to his mother and his country, Kabir softens, grants him another chance, and Khalid is reinstated. Their uneasy alliance grows as the mission in Marrakesh progresses; Ilyasi hints at a mole within Kabir’s team, and the revelation arrives when Saurabh uncovers himself as the traitor. Prateek and Muthu are killed in the ensuing gunfight, and Kabir is wounded in the neck but survives and awakens in a hospital. A few days later, an injured Khalid returns with the news that he killed Saurabh, cementing the rift and the bond in equal measure.

The present-day pursuit escalates to a dangerous brinkmanship, with Khalid nearly removed from duty when Lt. Col. Jimmy Shroff is brutally killed by Kabir. Kabir’s next target, Dr. Uptal Biswas in Lisbon, becomes a proving ground for the evolving dynamic between the two men. Khalid’s efforts to prevent Kabir’s lethal plan fail, leading to his suspension and a deeper chase for the truth. As Khalid traces back through a series of missions, he learns of a covert operation from six months earlier—a mission to recover a government hard drive containing secret codes and to neutralize Ilyasi’s known associates. He also uncovers Kabir’s fabrication of a relationship with a dancer, Naina Sahni, in Italy, a ruse designed to spy on a key contact, Firoze Contractor, Ilyasi’s manager. Naina agrees to act as Kabir’s covert asset only if her daughter Ruhi is cared for; tragically, she is killed by Firoze, whom Kabir identifies as Ilyasi in disguise after plastic surgery. Kabir has since played a double game to root out moles and agents, including the killings of Naidu, Shroff, and Biswas, a strategy kept secret even from Aditi.

Alliances evolve under pressure as a deadly dual-chess match unfolds: Kabir and Khalid decide to join forces, but danger follows them to Kerala, where they attend Aditi’s wedding and recover a secret drive containing the nuclear codes. Aditi warns that the codes unlock missiles aimed at the Brahma satellite, a critical line of communication for coordinating India’s border defenses, and that Ilyasi intends to destroy the satellite to sever that link, enabling a catastrophic crossing of militants into Indian territory. Kabir hands the drive to Khalid for safekeeping, intensifying the personal stakes of every decision.

The plot twists into a shocking revelation, as Khalid contaminates Kabir’s drink with TTX, exposing his true identity as Saurabh, a betrayal that rewrites the entire narrative. A flashback to Marrakesh reveals how Ilyasi and Saurabh conspired to swap identities, with plastic surgery and altered vocal cords creating Khalid’s “injured” appearance. When the ruse is exposed, Saurabh reveals his plan in brutal fashion, and Ilyasi, armed with new confidence, abandons Khalid’s trust and ships him away with a fatal contradiction at the center of the conspiracy.

In the Arctic, the final confrontation peaks. Saurabh returns to Ilyasi aboard an icebreaker, and Kabir parachutes onto the ship to kill Ilyasi’s men and confront his betrayer. Kabir shows that he has seen through Saurabh’s disguise, identifying key differences—the accuracy of his aim on the right side and the presence of alcohol in his system, while Khalid had refrained for religious reasons. Aditi’s antidote becomes crucial, providing Kabir a counter to the poisoning while a GPS tracker allows Saurabh to monitor Kabir’s movements. The plan to destroy the Brahma satellite appears to be close to execution, but Kabir reveals the new coordinates have shifted, steering away from the satellite. The final cat-and-mouse moment sees Ilyasi killed by Saurabh, who then escapes, leading to an intense car chase and a climactic fall: Kabir ultimately disposes of Saurabh by having him crushed under a collapsing church dome, delivering a stark denunciation of treachery and a quiet lament that a traitor should not share a martyr’s fate.

In the wake of the battles, the truth of sacrifice and duty settles in. Khalid is posthumously honored for his courage, while his mother Nafeesa accepts the award on his behalf. Kabir meets with Luthra, who acknowledges the complexities of a system where many players carry a price. The film closes with a glimmer of personal reconciliation and hope: Kabir and Ruhi share a moment of connection while surfing at Bondi Beach in Sydney, a wish fulfilled for Naina. Yet Luthra’s parting call to complete the mission against Haqqani leaves Kabir with a reminder that the fight is not finished, and the next encounter with danger could be just around the corner.
