Fr. Vincent Kombana is a roguish yet kindhearted priest of the Kombana family, famous in his village. He was trained by his father Issac Kombana to become a police officer first, and though [Fr. He relies on information from his trusted peon, Kunjoyi, about all sorts of legal and illegal dealings, and when trouble surfaces, he makes sure those responsible face tough consequences. His inner world includes the unwavering support of subordinates Kurukkan Ponnappan and others who help keep order in the community.

One midnight, while walking through a field, he hears a cry and discovers that a murder has taken place, committed by Kattuthara Joy. Vincent witnesses Joy directing a companion to dump the body into a ditch, but Joy pretends to confess to the crime, yet refuses to reveal on whom the murder was committed. As a priest, Vincent cannot reveal confessions, and Joy uses this to trap him in a web of suspicion. Despite Vincent’s careful vigilance, Joy sees him hiding in the bushes, and Vincent realizes that the confession was a calculated ploy to pull him into the trap. The case becomes a test of faith and cunning, and Vincent presses on, praying for a way to unravel the truth.

Tensions rise when Kunjoyi brings news of Lissy’s death, Joy’s wife, which adds a new layer of sorrow and rumor to the village. The police confirm it as a murder, with multiple stab wounds signaling a deliberate act. Vincent confronts Joy with the intention of building a case, but Joy presents a new complication: a video that shows Vincent digging the ditch, captured without Vincent’s knowledge. If Joy releases this footage publicly, it could destroy Vincent’s reputation and end his career. To avert this, Vincent pleads for the clip’s deletion, while Joy proposes a public flag-raising as a counter-move to force Vincent’s hand. Realizing he must outmaneuver Joy, Vincent turns to a different strategy, pouring his prayers into a plan that hides his true intentions and his own secrets.

Meanwhile, Santo, Joy’s ally, overhears the priest’s whispered strategies and fears for his own life as Joy’s grip tightens. Vincent then follows the thread to uncover why Eldhose was murdered, a question that also touches Santo’s involvement—Santo had been present when the crime was committed and helped bury Eldhose’s body in the ditch. A flashback reveals a painful motive: Eldhose had learned from Joy’s wife Lissy that her daughter’s real father was Eldhose, a truth that provokes Joy to lash out in anger. In a chilling moment, Joy tells Eldhose, “My confidence is getting hindered by your existence,” and lunges at him, delivering multiple stabs.

Back in the present, Vincent and his team close in on Santo as a key witness to Joy’s murders. As the investigation continues, Vincent confronts Joy about Lissy’s death, and it becomes clear that Joy was responsible, even poisoning her.
