Thotti Jaya, Silambarasan, is an orphan who spends his days as a hotel helper. He has a grim origin, found in a garbage bin as an infant, a detail that earns him his street nickname. One day, a narrow act of courage sees him clash with a man who dares to collide with the hotel owner, and Thotti Jaya earns a cash reward for his boldness. Yet the next morning, he notices something unsettling: respect from others seems to come only from fear. He guides her away from the gang and carries her to safety, ultimately transporting her back toward her home in Kanyakumari.
