Manickam Jeevan belongs to a poor family in a village, where respect for relatives is scarce and ambition often outpaces nature. He does not hold much regard for most of his kin, except for his uncle Vivek Manohar, who has carved out a life in Chennai. The story picks up when Manickam decides to leave his village and come to the big city to stay with his uncle, hoping for a chance to reshape his fate.

In the bustling streets and golf-green lounges of Chennai, Manickam’s eyes miss nothing. One day, while watching people play golf, he inadvertently witnesses a private moment between Roopini Malavika and a man named Ramesh, a scene that he captures on his video camera. This quiet discovery becomes a dangerous card in his hand. He gallivants into a web of leverage, using the incriminating footage to blackmail Roopini and squeeze money out of her whenever he feels the need. His opportunistic streak grows bolder as he moves through the city, trading in secrets for cash and chasing a new kind of power.

With pockets suddenly heavier, Manickam takes a bold step toward a different horizon: a trip to Australia funded by the money he’s extorted. There, fate introduces him to Rosy Sonia Agarwal, a striking woman who presents herself as wealthy and from a respected family. The spark between them grows quickly, and Manickam falls in love, imagining a life far removed from his village roots. He contemplates proposing to Rosy, picturing a future that could absolve him of his criminal beginnings. But destiny has other plans: Rosy has already disappeared from the city, leaving behind only questions and rumors.

Roopini then reveals a startling twist. She phones Manickam and confesses that Rosy was not a stranger brought into his life by chance, but a trap set by Roopini herself to lure him. The stakes rise as Roopini demands that Manickam hand over the incriminating cassette if he ever wants to see Rosy again. This time, the risk draws the attention of Sivaraj, a powerful and controlling businessman who sees through the tangled web of secrets. The tension crescendos as Manickam hands over the money to Rosy’s stepmother and asks Rosy to meet him at the airport the very next day, signaling a fragile alliance on the brink of collapse.

The film’s climax erupts in violence and tension. Sivaraj murders Ramesh in a stark display of ruthlessness, a brutal reminder of the consequences that chase those who traffic in secrets. Manickam engages in a violent struggle with the goons Sivaraj has dispatched, fighting with every bit of grit he has left. He fights his way toward the airport, racing against time and danger, only to be stabbed by Sivaraj at the airport threshold. The film closes on a poignant, unresolved note: Rosy waits for Manickam at the airport, leaving the audience questioning whether love can survive the cost of a life built on deception and danger.
