The Invisible Boy: Second Generation 2018

Three years after the events of the first film, Michele Silenzi’s adoptive mother, Giovanna, dies in a car accident, and Michele’s love interest Stella—whose memories were erased by Andrey—has become engaged to Brando, who has convinced her he was her savior.

A new presence enters Michele’s world at school: Natasha, a girl who carries a striking elemental power, pyrokinesis. During a party at Brando’s home, Natasha sparks a fire to create a distraction, pulling Michele from a moment of normalcy into a surreal orbit. He wakes up in the bedroom of an abandoned noble house and encounters Natasha along with a woman named Yelena. Yelena reveals that Natasha is Michele’s sister and that she is their mother, unfolding a history that binds the siblings to a larger, perilous conflict. Meanwhile, Specials—people with extraordinary abilities—are being abducted around the globe.

Yelena explains that she needs blood transfusions from Michele Silenzi and Natasha to bolster her own first-generation powers. The transfusions are administered by the doctor known as Dottor K, a scientist allied with Yelena who has worked with them for some time. She also shares troubling news: Andrey has been kidnapped, and she suspects the brutal Igor Zavarov—a Russian oligarch who exploits Specials—as the kidnapper. With a plan to strike at Zavarov, Yelena aims to stage his kidnapping during the Trieste inauguration of a new gas pipeline. Michele is charged with infiltrating the police offices to steal security plans and map Zavarov’s movements for the day, a task he accomplishes with impressive control over his powers, earning his mother’s pride.

As the family begins to open up, Michele and Natasha reveal their pasts. Natasha recounts a harsh childhood in Morocco, where she was moved between guardians before discovering her power, and the sister remembers a life shaped by a guardian who tried to take advantage of her. A talisman Michele retrieves for Natasha becomes a symbol of their recovered bond, and Giovanna proudly wears it as a sign that their family may be mendable again.

That night, Yelena recalls the events after the escape. Andrey manages to save himself at first, but Yelena is captured again and placed in an institute where experiments on Specials intensify. Doctor KA shows occasional respect for the children, but Zavarov’s cruelty remains unchecked. When Katia—the elastic girl—dies during an experiment, Yelena sounds the call for rebellion. The Specials seize a fortress in a bid for freedom, but Zavarov escapes by helicopter. Some Specials retreat from danger, while Yelena intensifies her resolve to reclaim power for her family, aided by Artiglio and Doctor KA.

With the inauguration day approaching, Yelena and Natasha urge Michele to leave his old life behind. Michele goes to the gym where Stella and his friend Candela practice, hoping for one last glimpse of the girl he loves. While there, he observes Cinetica and Morpheus—two Specials whom he recognizes—slipping away with a stolen wallet and follows them to a villa where a gathering has convened: Yelena, Natasha, Doctor KA, and the abducted Specials. In a chilling reveal, Yelena presents an extreme plan: at the gas‑pipeline inauguration, the group will trigger a massive explosion in the generator plant, powered by Natasha’s fire, with the intent of wiping out Zavarov and a large portion of Trieste’s normals. Michele realizes the danger of the plan but is discovered by Natasha, who—having inherited Andrey’s mental voice—sees Michele’s thoughts.

Michele is imprisoned in a basement cell, confronting his mother and the devastating truth that Doctor KA has used Natasha’s DNA, fused with his own, in a machine called UTERO, restoring their full strength. Natasha, who has endured a harsher life, resolves to stand by Yelena, while Andrey—through their mental link—shows Michele how Giovanna died. Yelena had lured Giovanna to her death by pushing her from a cliff after anaesthetizing her, a revelation that shatters Michele and strengthens his resolve to act.

Driven by anger and courage, Michele taps into his telekinetic control and tears down the walls of his cell to join Natasha, who is preparing to strike the generator with a burning beam. Andrey, now aware of Yelena’s machinations, chases her down, and the two enemies collide in a deadly confrontation that ends with both of them impaled on a blunt iron spike.

In the aftermath, Michele’s courage saves his friends and the city, while Zavarov’s plan collapses with the disbanding of the remaining Specials. Michele faces Stella, who finally realizes who saved her that night, and he asks her to guard the truth. With the parents gone, Michele and Natasha share a quiet embrace on the back of a bus, and Michele reveals his power to a normal child, asking him to keep it secret. The story closes on a hopeful note: a fragile, but possible, alliance between normal people and those with Special gifts.
