Keerthi Reddy is told by a priest that her marrying is like she being hanged to death, a grim omen that stirs anger in Devayani. On the same day, while returning home from a library, she collides with Upendra’s car, and Ricky falls in love and confesses, but she rejects him. His other attempts to impress her fail as well. At the urging of her cousin, Devayani decides to apologize to Ricky for her harsh behavior.

Intending to lift her spirits, she accepts an invitation to Thailand, hoping distance will ease the pain. There, she is abandoned by her local guide Richard but is surprised and elated to see Ricky, and Devayani realizes her feelings for him. In the hotel where they stay, an injured Deependra, a prince who recognizes Devayani as his lover, hugs her and confesses his feelings. Devayani is frightened by his intensity. Soon, Deependra is hospitalized. Devayani and Ricky return to India.

Deependra follows them to India in search of Devayani. He tells Ricky that Devayani is indeed his girlfriend and that he killed his entire family because they lied to him that a marriage between Devayani and Deependra would fulfill a fatal astrological prophecy. Ricky learns that Deependra’s love is unreciprocated and that Devayani was too scared to tell him, given his royal status. Ricky resolves to make Deependra understand that Devayani never loved him, but his attempts fail.

In his last attempt, Ricky advises Devayani to follow her heart. On a rainy night, Deependra plucks his eyes out and cuts his ears and limbs, offering them to Devayani. Devayani is overwhelmed and runs to Deependra, but he dies. The next morning, Ricky takes Devayani on a jeep, and it is revealed that Ricky with her now is Deependra; the one who died the previous night was actually Ricky. Deependra reveals that, after confessing his feelings, he had hatched a plan to swap roles since they looked alike. Ricky, as Deependra, would fake his death to test Devayani’s love. Devayani is horrified to learn this and says that even if her eyes deceived her, her heart chose Ricky. She runs away toward a waterfall, determined to end her life, but is saved by Deependra. Devayani then fends off Deependra into the water, only for Ricky to appear. Deependra manages to climb back and stand before them.
