In a twist-filled investigation led by ACP Vijay Prakash, a determined police officer, the story follows a man named Karthik who becomes the center of a baffling identity puzzle. From the very start, the case drops a pair of confounding clues: several statements about who Karthik really is don’t line up, and three young women each claim to be his wife, insisting that he vanished days or months earlier. An old man from an asylum adds another layer of mystery by claiming to have known Karthik under a different name—Krishnamurthy—who supposedly died thirty years ago. The shocking turn comes when that same old man is found murdered the very next day, intensifying the urgency of the investigation.

As the case deepens, a new claim shakes the police: Priya appears and asserts that she is also married to Karthik, despite the fact that the police had just arrested him on suspicion of killing the elderly man. To complicate matters further, Karthik himself can’t recognize the other three women who insist they share a husband with him. The tension peaks when one of the women is brought to the imprisoned Karthik; upon catching sight of him, they exchange a knowing smile, before she suddenly shoots him. The officer in charge halts the assault, prompting the woman to reveal a painful love story and marriage with Karthik. She explains that a misunderstanding drove him away, and later she learned about the alleged affairs with the other women.

What begins as a tale of heartbreak quickly evolves into a web of deception. The woman who shot Karthik recounts how she interpreted the media reports of his supposed relationships and concluded that Karthik was a playboy who had ruined four women’s lives, including hers. She resolves that he is unworthy of living. In response, Karthik escapes from the hospital with the help of a journalist and undertakes a mission to find the other women and uncover their true motives.

What he discovers shatters the surface-level explanations. The four accusations were not genuine; they were orchestrated as part of a staged drama at the behest of Saraswati, an elderly woman who pulled the strings behind the scenes. Saraswati is revealed to be the former wife of Karthik’s father, Krishnamoorthy, a man with a dark past. In a chilling backstory, Saraswati murdered her own father and also killed Krishnamoorthy’s fiancée Bhanu’s family, all while plotting to win Krishnamoorthy. Krishnamoorthy fled and jumped into a river, while Saraswati was committed to an asylum before being released years later. She witnesses Krishnamoorthy living happily with Bhanu and their two children, and she destroys them on the same day—except for their son, who happens to be Karthik.

In the present, Saraswati remains obsessed and deluded, continuing to picture Karthik as Krishnamoorthy and seeking vengeance for her past rejection. She abducts Priya, using the threat of forcing Karthik into self-harm as leverage. The pursuit becomes physical when ACP Vijay Prakash is injured during the skirmish, and the police take aim at Saraswati. A fatal shot to her leg is followed by Saraswati turning the gun on herself, leaving Priya’s whereabouts unknown to the authorities. The climax converges as Karthik, aided by the police, locates Priya in a basement. Priya apologizes for the earlier misunderstanding, and the couple’s bond is rekindled, bringing the drama to a close with reconciliation rather than vengeance.

Throughout, the film weaves a careful balance between mystery and emotional confrontation. The drive to understand Karthik’s true identity collides with a history of revenge, manipulation, and a family legacy that refuses to stay buried. The tension hinges on the revelation that the public drama surrounding the four women was a calculated plan devised by Saraswati to exact revenge for past heartbreaks. In the end, the truth emerges not merely as a sequence of puzzles solved, but as a test of trust, forgiveness, and the endurance of relationships under extraordinary strain.
